As a young creative going into the real world can become a nerve racking task for any one, let alone when you first graduate. It is tough finding a space that you feel comfortable to work from and bring clients to. This generally tends to be done in coffee bars across London with designers becoming nomadic searching for the strongest wifi, best coffee and cheapest food; in a sence becoming a ‘coffice’ worker. This little teddy bear is Cedric. Inspired by Autumn leaves, I have woven his fabric using a twill based weave structure. He is 100% tencel which gives him an adorably soft feel and being full of glass beads he has a good weight.

Meet Archer. He is a unique teddy bear, completely hand made. I have woven his fabric on a hand loom using 100% Tencel yarn, hand dyed to the right colours. He has glass eyes and is fully jointed. The glass beads inside give him a weighty feel.

Cool Pods – Shelter from heat waves

Ever frequent heat waves over the past two decades have killed close to 100,000 people. It is more than any other natural disaster, including tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis.

In order to tackle this problem, the proposal is to design the Cool Pod – a sustainable and easily mountable “pop-up” installation with principal purpose of providing shelter from excessively hot climate, and educate the public about the prevention of linked health hazards during such events.
